My school

My school is a multi cultural school. Because lots of people from different countries go there. Students speak for more than 25 languages at home, but only 1 at school!
Example: My friend Aqila comes from Indonesia, my friend Deeksha India, my friend Zixin comes from China, my teacher Roxanne comes from Poland, my friend Aynur comes from Turkey, my friend Amina comes from America, my teacher Luciana comes from Italy and lots more…

It’s really easy to get along with other people. The games we play are…
Hide and seek, Volleyball, Treasure Hunt and lots more.  Even girls play soccer! If you are in grade three or up you get to go to camp! At the end of every term one, if you sign up for camp you get to go! This year we’re going to Waratah Bay! Last year we went to Candlebark farm.

At school we don’t have any religion classes. It’s only Maths, Reading, Writing, Integrated Curriculum and the rest is mostly playing. In Maths we usually play with MAB blocks. You could make numbers out of them. Sometimes we do really fun tests, and sometimes when we finish early we get to play Coolmath. It’s a game on the Internet. Here’s a link to the website: http://www.coolmath-games.com/

In Reading we learned to read English. In Writing we learned to write neatly.
In Integrated Curriculum we learnt About Cyber safety. It’s about how to use to use the Internet safely. We also learned about animals. We did a project called Habitat. You could either pick an Indonesian type of habitat, like a Rainforest or beach. You could also pick an Australian habitat, like jungle, desert, or snow. The teachers choose three people and they have to be in the same groups. It was fun, I loved it!
Now let’s talk about games. I loved the games that we play at school, it’s half learning and playing. The game that we play mostly on the Internet is called Coolmath. We have Developmental Curriculum for games and free activities. When you’re in grade three you get to have a laptop of your own. If you stay at school till grade six you will only need to pay one Australian dollar to have it for yourself.  The playgrounds are just the same as when you’re in kinder.

Each week you’ll only get at least 2 homework. The homework is: Sound waves and Book Report. Soundwaves is spelling sheet homework, and the Book Report is that you have to have to write a Book Report about the book that you’re borrowing from school. It is called your Home Reading Book. If you didn’t know how to read, you have to start from level one, the last level is called The Library books. I am up to the level called Chapter books. My sister is still in level two!
The principal only want us to play more than learn!
